Egypt Plans to Launch the World’s Largest Textiles Factory Next February

Egypt prepares to open the world’s largest textile factory in El Mahalla El Kubra city in February, as reported by Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat.

According to data from the Ministry of Public Business Sector, the factory has over 182,000 spinning wheels and a daily production capacity of 30 tons of fine and thick yarn on a 62,500-square-meter area.

The minister further revealed that the Cotton and Textile Industries Holding Co, affiliated with the public business sector ministry, is finally preparing to operate the factory that was implemented under the national project for the development of the spinning, weaving, and textile industries.

On a related note, Esmat stated that the ministry plans to offer a package of investment opportunities at its affiliated firms for collaboration with the private sector by 2024.
