Egypt Plans to Establish Hospital in Sinai to Provide Medical Aid to Injured Palestinians

by Nada Khaled

Earlier today, the Egyptian state revealed that it will open a field hospital in Sheikh Zuweid, Sinai, to provide medical aid for wounded Palestinians from Gaza.

The North Sinai Governorate and the Health Directorate in Sheikh Zuweid City will collaborate to establish the Sheikh Zuweid Hospital.

Sources reported that the hospital is completely furnished, equipped, and ready to operate. It is prepared to treat all injured Palestinian citizens affected by the reoccurring Israeli bombing. Its main goal is to treat wounded Palestinians as soon as they enter Egyptian land.

Various medical teams with specialized training in different fields are available, and up to 300 beds can be accommodated at the facility, with more space available if necessary.

Moreover, the Egyptian city’s ambulance and medical services are on high alert to receive and tend to the injured.
