Egypt Offers 11 Medical Aid Shipments to Treat HCV in Uzbekistan

On July 29, Egyptian Ambassador in Tashkent Amira Fahmi took part in a celebration held by the Uzbek side upon Egypt’s delivery of eleven medical aid shipments to eliminate hepatitis C (HCV) in Uzbekistan.

The ambassador said Egypt is committed to standing by Uzbekistan in its efforts to secure better health for the Uzbek people.

Fahmi also said she is pleased to celebrate offering more medical humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan for the second year in a row to treat patients with hepatitis C.

Moreover, the Egyptian diplomat referred to the prominent progress made by Egypt in combating the virus.

She further highlighted Egypt’s successful experiment in developing healthcare and pharmaceutical industries to produce high-quality products at competitive prices.

For its part, the Foreign Ministry shared a post yesterday on “Facebook affirming that officials in Uzbekistan commended the medical humanitarian assistance offered by Egypt.
