Egypt Hosts UN Training on Combating Violence Against Women

The Interior Ministry’s Center for Security and Strategic Studies hosted a training program on combating violence against women.

The training course reflects the Interior Ministry’s keenness to develop the capabilities of human cadres in various security fields and its strategy to raise awareness of human rights.

It addressed several themes, including the Egyptian-Spanish legal framework to combat violence against women, as well as law enforcement procedures and challenges in dealing with victims and witnesses in trafficking and violent crimes.

Organizing the program was the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa, Cairo, Egypt, in coordination with the Spanish Embassy in Cairo from January 8 to 11, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Saturday 14/01/2023.
