Egypt’s Most Influential Women in Economic and Social Development Honored at Egypt for the Best Summit 2026

CAIRO — June 29, 2026

The eleventh edition of Egypt for the Best Summit 2026 honored the first group of winners in the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Economic and Social Development and Public Life 2025, recognizing distinguished female leaders whose achievements have driven institutional excellence, innovation, sustainable development, and community empowerment across Egypt.

The annual recognition, sponsored by Telecom Egypt, highlights inspiring women who have made significant contributions across economic, governmental, academic, financial, technological, and social sectors. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and innovation.

The awards ceremony was attended by Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, who presented the awards to the honorees, underscoring the growing role of Egyptian women in advancing sustainable development and strengthening the competitiveness of both public and private sector institutions.

The first group of honorees included:

  • Eng. Hoda Dahroug, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Community Development.
  • Ambassador Nada El Agizy, Director of the Sustainable Development and International Cooperation Department at the League of Arab States.
  • Soheir Abdallah, Chairman and Managing Director of EgyptAir In-Flight Services.
  • Dr. Eng. Maha Mohamed Fahim Mahmoud, Advisor to the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities for Urban Planning.
  • Dr. Solava Gowaily, Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA).
  • Dr. Salma Yousry, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for International Cooperation.
  • Dr. Hanan Wagdy, Member of the Economic Committee of the Egyptian Senate and Founder of IBIS Financial Consulting.
  • Ola Gamal, Assistant Sub-Governor at the Central Bank of Egypt.
  • Dr. Dina Waked, Professor of Law and Dean of the Graduate School and Research at Sciences Po Law School.
  • Soha El-Turky, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board Member at the National Bank of Egypt.
  • Ghada Mostafa, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt.
  • Dr. Lamees Awad Mahmoud Ragab, Vice President of New Giza University.
  • Prof. Dr. Hala Salem El Menoufy, Acting President of Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST).
  • Prof. Dr. Alia Abdel Hady, Professor of Interior Architecture and Chair of the Arts Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities.

The list also included prominent executive and academic leaders representing the transportation, communications and information technology, scientific research, higher education, banking, manufacturing, cybersecurity, and innovation sectors.

The summit organizers stated that the Top 50 Most Influential Women list is one of the event’s flagship annual initiatives. The selection process follows rigorous professional and scientific criteria that evaluate leadership, measurable impact, achievements, innovation, and the ability to drive positive change.
