The Council of Ministers just approved the Prime Minister’s draft decision to amend some provisions of the Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 540 of 2015 regarding the rules and procedures for disbursing conditional cash support “Takaful and Karama” or (Solidarity and Dignity).

The amendment stressed the inclusion of several groups within the “Takaful and Karama” program, which already receive monthly security assistance, and their number is about 300,000 families, in the context of keenness to unify the monetary support system provided by the state to the beneficiaries.

Moreover, it introduced new categories for the Takaful and Karama programs which also need cash support due to their life circumstances, namely the breadwinner woman with children over 18 years old and abandoned students older than 18 who are already enrolled in education.

The amendment also provided details related to the monthly amounts determined for the eligible groups within the “Takaful and Karama” program and the conditions for providing this cash support for both the “Takaful” and “Karama” programs, to ensure the inclusion of all beneficiaries in the program’s services.
