The Egyptian Drug Authority is working with the World Health Organization to transform the drug industry by incorporating digital advancements and localizing modern technology in drug manufacturing.
According to Egypt Today, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently met with Ali Al-Ghamrawy, head of the Egyptian Drug Authority, to discuss the availability of medicines in the Egyptian market.
Ghamrawy reported that the supply of medicines has increased, and any remaining shortages will be resolved within a few weeks.
He further highlighted the Drug Authority’s strong collaboration with the Unified Procurement Authority to implement modern manufacturing technology, aiming to prevent shortages and instill confidence in the audience.
Ghamrawry affirmed that the government has implemented measures to expedite the customs release of medicines and raw materials, which has helped meet the market’s demand for medicines.
Additionally, the government is prioritizing support for the pharmaceutical industry to become in line with international standards.
