PM: Egyptian Gov’t Keen on Promoting Competition Among Public Servants

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that the “Egypt’s Government Excellence” Award reflects the Egyptian State’s commitment to promoting competition among employees at government institutions and encouraging innovation, according to the “State Information Services” website.

The award also demonstrates the State’s commitment to helping employees translate their innovative ideas into real projects, Madbouly added in his remarks to the ceremony of the 3rd edition of  the “Egypt Government Excellence” Award, which kicked off on Tuesday 14 March 2023 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He noted that the award goal is linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 16 about promoting just, peaceful, and inclusive societies.

Madbouly applauded the performance of the award organizers, as well as their efforts to improve it and introduce new categories and promote a culture of excellence at government institutions.

Minister of Culture, NCW President Inaugurate 2nd Women Professionals Summit at Nile-Ritz Carlton

The Egyptian Minister of Culture Dr. Nevine Youssef Mohamed El Kilany and President of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi opened, Sunday 12th March, the second annual Women Professionals Summit-2023 (WPS): titled Empower Women to Empower Egypt under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The second annual Women Professionals Summit (WPS) is powered by the Top 50 Women Forum in collaboration with the National Council for Women (NCW) and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

The one-day event included inspiring keynotes, dynamic breakout sessions, and collaborative networking opportunities. In addition, it hosted the 8th edition of the Top 50 Women Forum Annual Award Ceremony.

The Summit hosted interactive sessions and panel discussions that included women empowerment specialists and sustainability consultants to share insights about women’s success, leadership, future planning, the influence of role models, and the importance of self-affirmation to develop the next generation of women leaders.

In addition, the WPS-2023 activities included discussions about the best practices and corrective measures to place women’s issues on national and domestic agendas required to achieve the goals of sustainable development strategies.

The second edition of the WPS-2023 took place in the presence of ministers, decision-makers, and CEOs, as well as assembling more than 300 women in leadership in various professional sectors such as financial and economic sectors, as well as sports, artistic, cultural, educational, media and entrepreneurship, as well other professional disciplines in which women have excelled, as well as several Egyptian university students in all governorates of the Republic.

The day-long event features a range of inspiring speeches, dynamic breakout sessions, and collaborative networking opportunities.

Furthermore, WPS-2023 aims to familiarize the international community with Egyptian women and their roles in leadership positions who are considered to be the soft power that expresses the new Republic’s continuous search for progression, advancement, and supremacy.

The second annual Women Professionals Summit (WPS) also hosted the 8th edition of the Top 50 Women Forum Annual Awards Ceremony. The annual awards celebrate the successes of Egyptian women in all sectors while shedding light on inspiring women in action models who can shape the future in light of ongoing global challenges.

This year, winners were selected on several eligibility criteria that monitor their exceptional success stories, and to which extent they managed to overcome obstacles in the light of the ongoing global circumstances.
The awards were a testament to the state’s tireless commitment and relentless efforts towards supporting Egyptian women’s economic empowerment and enhancing their access to leadership positions as part of exerted efforts to promote gender equality in business institutions.

The 2023-awards ceremony was witnessed by ministers, decision- makers and CEOs in an annual tradition that demonstrates confidence in the selection process, which is subject to precise and scientific criteria, pushing annually to enter the list of honorees into community actions and comprehensive initiatives aimed at promoting development in the Egyptian State.
