“Dear Ward” Wins Best Film Award at the Women and Children Film Festival in Muscat

Marwa El Sharkawy’s Egyptian short film “Dear Ward” won the Best Narrative Film Award at the International Film Festival for Women and Children in Muscat.

The film was written and directed by Marwa El Sharkawy, produced and photographed by Moni Mahmoud, starring Dalia Ezzat, Sofia Jibril, Khaled Mounib, Shahd Salah, and Ahmed El Dakkak.

The movie “Dear Ward” previously participated in several festivals, including the “Topaz” International Film Festival in America as well as the International Women’s Film Festival in Portugal, and the official competition of the Bahrain International Film Festival.

It is noteworthy that director Marwa El-Sharkawy, presented many short films; most prominently the movie “Forgotten Dreams,” with which she recently participated in major international film festivals and won many awards.
