Azza Fouly to Join the Egyptian National Team for Upcoming Tournaments

by Asmaa Elwahy

The Brentford shot-stopper traveled back to Egypt on Sunday ahead of the U20’s two friendlies against Morocco on Wednesday, 6 September, and Saturday, 8 September.

Fouly will then link up with Egypt’s senior team for their two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Sudan on 20 September and 24 September before playing two more times for the U20’s in World Cup qualifying games against Sao Tome, which will be played between 6-8 October and 13-15 October.

Fouly was previously named in Egypt’s U20s squad in March; still, the keeper was unfortunately ruled out following a head injury, which she picked up playing for the Bees against Hackney Women, according to the “Brentford Football Club” website.

The Brentford no.1 has yet to feature for her side this season but recently returned to training after being sidelined for five months due to concussion.
