Ashraf Sobhi Launches First Karate 1-Premier League in Cairo, Egypt

Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhi inaugurated on Friday, January 27, the Karate 1-Premier League at the Cairo International Stadium. The league is held in Cairo for the first time ever, from the 27th to the 29th.

During the ceremony, Sobhi affirmed that the Egyptian State has considerable experience hosting main and major international sports competitions.

While, Ortueta commanded Egypt’s great organization of the event, stressing that Egypt has the will to enhance sports.

The opening ceremony took place, in presence of President of the World Karate Federation (WKF) Antonio Espinós Ortueta, President of the Egyptian Karate Federation Mohammed el Dahrawi, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt Oka Hiroshi, and other senior officials.
