Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of International Cooperation, held a productive meeting with Ambassador Peter Mollema, the Dutch Ambassador to Cairo. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss joint work files and follow up on the implementation of various programs and projects. The discussion was held in a bilateral setting, and both parties exchanged views and ideas to ensure successful execution of the projects.

The New Administrative Capital hosted a meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters, which was a part of Mashat’s regular engagements with multilateral and bilateral development partners. The aim of the meeting was to discuss and review the progress of ongoing collaboration and to identify potential avenues for further cooperation.

At the outset of the meeting, the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation cordially welcomed the esteemed Dutch ambassador to Cairo, underscoring the profound nature of the reciprocal relations between the two nations. The Minister also expressed gratitude to the former Dutch ambassador, Maurits Schaapveld, for his dedicated efforts during his tenure in Egypt to strengthen ties between the two countries and advance shared objectives.

During a recent meeting, Minister Mashat engaged in discussions with Dutch Ambassador Peter Mollema regarding the upcoming investment conference that is due to be held by the government in conjunction with the European Union in June. This event follows the signing of a joint declaration between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the President of the European Commission in March of this year, which paved the way for the enhancement of relations to a strategic partnership level. The Dutch companies were cordially invited to participate in the conference and gain insights into the various investment opportunities that are available in Egypt.

The Minister of International Cooperation emphasized the Egyptian government’s commitment to intensifying its efforts towards empowering the private sector by providing increased investment opportunities and creating a conducive environment that would facilitate the expansion of the scope of work of private sector enterprises.
