A Republican Decree Approves a Grant to Fund the Women’s Complaints Office for 350,000 Euros
The Official Gazette published today, Thursday, a decision by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, bearing No. 409 of 2022. The republican decree states the approval of the bilateral letter between the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the government of the Kingdom of Spain regarding a grant to finance a project to strengthen the capabilities of the Women’s Complaints Office in the amount of 350,000 euros signed in Cairo on July 6th of 2022.
The Official Gazette publication stated that, among the provisions of the decision, the cash grant will be provided to the Arab Republic of Egypt through the National Council for Women.
The NCW has a recognized legal personality, the ability to contract, and the technical and financial solvency to implement the project for which the grant was presented to finance a project to strengthen the office Women’s complaints at the National Council for Women to support the capabilities of the beneficiary.
The grant also aims to contribute to the sustainable protection of Egyptian women’s rights and support the Women’s Complaints Office’s strategy (WCO) for sustainable rights for the year 2021.
