The Arab Women Organization (AWO), one of the specialized organizations of the League of Arab States, is launching the Arab Women Organization Youth Simulation Model from July 27 to 29, 2026, bringing together official youth delegations from 10 Arab member states.
The initiative is being organized in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) as part of ongoing efforts to empower young people, increase awareness of women’s issues, and strengthen engagement in Arab regional cooperation.
Preparing the Next Generation of Arab Leaders
The Youth Simulation Model is designed to equip young Arab participants with a deeper understanding of how Arab institutions operate while strengthening essential leadership and professional skills.
The program focuses on developing participants’ abilities in dialogue, negotiation, teamwork, policy discussions, and initiative design, while promoting awareness of women’s rights, gender equality, and sustainable development.
Interactive Training and Institutional Simulation
The three-day program features interactive workshops, training sessions, and a realistic simulation of the Arab Women Organization’s institutional processes.
Participants will assume the roles of representatives of member states, debate priority issues related to women’s empowerment across the Arab region, and work collaboratively to draft recommendations and initiatives that reflect their vision for a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future.
Investing in Youth and Women’s Empowerment
According to the Arab Women Organization, the initiative reflects its belief that investing in young people is fundamental to building more informed, resilient, and sustainable societies.
By allowing participants to experience the work of Arab regional institutions firsthand, the organization aims to strengthen leadership, critical thinking, institutional awareness, and a deeper sense of responsibility toward advancing women’s empowerment and regional development.
Closing Session to Present Recommendations
The Youth Simulation Model will conclude on July 29, 2026, with participating delegations presenting the outcomes of their discussions, policy recommendations, and proposed initiatives before an audience of officials, experts, and representatives of partner organizations.
The initiative reinforces the Arab Women Organization’s ongoing commitment to engaging young leaders in shaping inclusive policies that advance women’s rights, strengthen regional cooperation, and support sustainable development across the Arab world.
