Mai Yassin, Head of External Communications and Sustainability at Vodafone Egypt, has officially joined one of the specialized committees of the National Council for Women (NCW), marking another step in strengthening collaboration between Egypt’s private sector and national institutions working to advance women’s empowerment and sustainable development.
Announcing the appointment through her official social media channels, Yassin said she looks forward to contributing to the Council’s initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and expand their participation across society, particularly in areas related to sustainability, social inclusion, and community development.
The appointment reflects Yassin’s extensive experience in corporate communications, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Throughout her career at Vodafone Egypt, she has led numerous initiatives focused on social impact, digital inclusion, and sustainable development, reinforcing the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting Egypt’s development priorities.
The committee is expected to focus on several strategic priorities in the coming period, including advancing the social, economic, and political empowerment of women with disabilities, supporting mothers caring for children with disabilities, and developing community-based initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and contribute to the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
Yassin’s appointment also highlights the growing importance of partnerships between the private sector and the National Council for Women in leveraging corporate expertise to support national development goals, expand opportunities for women, and foster a more inclusive and equitable society.
