The appointment reflects the bank’s focus on bringing in seasoned banking professionals with deep industry expertise to enhance institutional performance and support its long-term vision.


Veteran Banker with Over 27 Years of Experience

Madkour is widely regarded as a leading figure in Egypt’s banking sector, with more than 27 years of experience spanning corporate banking, financial management, and strategic planning.

Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in driving institutional performance, leveraging a combination of strategic insight and operational expertise across diverse banking functions.


Leadership Across Major Financial Institutions

Madkour’s career includes 16 years at the Arab Bank — Arab Bank — followed by 11 years at EGBANK, where she established herself as a specialist in corporate banking and financial services.

Her extensive experience has enabled her to lead and oversee a wide range of critical banking sectors.


Broad Oversight of Key Banking Functions

In her new role, Madkour is expected to supervise several strategic divisions, including:

  • Treasury and financial institutions
  • Direct investments
  • Corporate lending
  • Syndicated loans
  • Structured products
  • Corporate banking transactions
  • Debt and capital markets

Her leadership is anticipated to further strengthen EGBANK’s positioning in these high-impact areas.


Strong Academic and Executive Credentials

Madkour holds a degree in Economics and Political Science, along with a Master’s in International Business Administration. She has also earned specialized professional certifications and completed two executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School — Harvard Business School — underscoring her commitment to continuous professional development and global best practices.


Extensive Governance and Board Experience

Beyond her executive career, Madkour brings significant governance expertise. She currently serves as Chairperson of Egyptian Gulf Holding Company and holds non-executive board positions at:

  • Our Capital Financial Investments
  • Egyptian Hydrocarbon Company

Her boardroom experience spans both public and private sectors, reflecting a broad influence across Egypt’s financial and investment landscape.
