Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, visited the “Diarna” Exhibition for Handicrafts and Heritage, organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in partnership with Cairo Festival City Mall. The exhibition is under the patronage of ALEXBANK, Intesa Sanpaolo Group, Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, and Drosos Foundation. It will be open to the public until February 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
During her visit, Dr. Morsy was accompanied by Judge Amal Ammar, National Council for Women Chairperson, Ms. Leila Hosni, Executive Director of the Sawiris Foundation, and Ms. Farida Al-Qattan, Head of Social Responsibility at ALEXBANK.
The Minister took time to inspect the exhibition’s progress, listen to exhibitors’ and visitors’ feedback, and provide recommendations for addressing any challenges faced by the participants. She encouraged the public to visit the exhibition, explore the displayed products, and support local artisans.
The exhibition hosts more than 400 exhibitors showcasing handcrafted products reflecting Egyptian heritage. This year’s special guest is Sinai, “The Land of Turquoise,” presenting a variety of traditional Sinai products. Other exhibits include items like Arabic calligraphy, copper and glasswork, as well as home décor, fashion, and accessories related to Ramadan preparations.
