The former Minister of Housing, Essam El-Gazzar, officially announced the formation of the National Front Party during its inaugural conference on December 30, 2024. The event took place in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital (NAC) and was marked by the unveiling of the party’s guiding slogan: “Egypt for All.”
The new political party aims to play a significant role in the upcoming parliamentary elections but has stated that it does not seek a parliamentary majority. Instead, the National Front Party intends to build broad political alliances with existing parties, emphasizing national unity in the face of Egypt’s current socio-political challenges.
Vision for a New Egypt
In his keynote speech, El-Gazzar emphasized that the party’s primary objective is to contribute to building a “new republic” grounded in social justice, the rule of law, and respect for human rights. He stressed the party’s commitment to addressing Egypt’s immediate needs while ensuring the protection of future generations’ rights.
The National Front Party seeks to offer a transparent, democratic path that aligns with the aspirations of Egyptians for a dignified and prosperous future. El-Gazzar noted that the party’s values focuses on safeguarding the nation’s supreme interests, avoiding narrow political conflicts, and promoting stability in a region marked by complexity.
“Our mission is to provide a platform for those disillusioned with traditional political narratives, while fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration,” El-Gazzar said.
