Banque du Caire Celebrates People of Determination with Financial Inclusion Initiatives

Remarking on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Banque du Caire is actively engaging in financial inclusion efforts from December 1 to 15. The initiative emphasizes the bank’s commitment to empowering people of determination by providing easy access to essential banking services without additional requirements.

Exclusive Services and Benefits

Banque du Caire is offering free “Wafir” accounts with no minimum balance, along with prepaid cards and Meeza cards at no charge. The bank also provides the Cairo Cash wallet and free internet and mobile banking services, available to those aged 15 and above with a national ID.

Additionally, the bank offers a 50% waiver on administrative fees for personal loans to reduce financial burdens on people of determination.

Enhanced Accessibility

To improve accessibility, Banque du Caire has equipped several branches with special pathways and facilities for people of determination. The bank’s ATMs are also designed to be user-friendly.

Staff have received sign language training to better serve clients, and dedicated waiting numbers have been implemented to minimize wait times. The bank also offers Braille banking forms and product information available on CDs or through the website. For elderly customers and people of determination over 65, a free home visit service is available.

Promoting Financial Inclusion

Banque du Caire has expanded its outreach to more than 30 locations, including universities, youth centers, and institutes, to raise awareness about financial inclusion and the banking services available to all.

Ongoing Support for People of Determination

The bank sponsors athletes like Sherif Osman, a Paralympic weightlifter, and Ibrahim Hamadto, a table tennis player recognized for his performance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Banque du Caire also supports charitable organizations and partners with the Helm Foundation to help people of determination gain skills for entering the workforce.
