Organon, a global healthcare company, and the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) have joined forces to improve women’s health and family planning services in Egypt.

The partnership, announced recently, involves training community pharmacists across the country. The aim is to raise awareness about family planning options and empower pharmacists to provide effective counseling services. This initiative aligns with the Egyptian government’s focus on human capital development and population health.

Organon will deliver both in-person and online training sessions to equip pharmacists with the necessary knowledge and skills. Later on,  rained pharmacists will be able to provide accurate information and counseling to women, helping them make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

“This partnership is a significant step towards improving access to quality healthcare for women in Egypt,” said Tarek Abou ElEinein, Organon Egypt & Levant Country Lead. “By empowering community pharmacists, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of countless women and their families.”

Dr. Ali El Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing healthcare. He stated, “This partnership with Organon reflects our commitment to enhancing the capabilities of our healthcare professionals and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to our citizens.”

Organon’s commitment to women’s health extends beyond this partnership. The company has been actively working with the Egyptian government to support family planning initiatives and empower women. This latest collaboration reinforces Organon’s dedication to improving the health and well-being of women in Egypt.
