4th Arab Forum of Women with Disabilities kicks off in Cairo

The fourth Arab Forum of Women with Disabilities kicked off here Sunday to discuss the post-Covid 19 stage in terms of full economic empowerment and political participation.

The Forum will shed light on pioneering experiments of girls and women with disabilities.

This comes in line with an initiative by Arab League chief Ahmed Abul Gheit to outline the second Arab decade for persons with disabilities (2023-2032), said AL assistant secretary general for social affairs Haifaa Abu Ghazala in a statement read out by minister plenipotentiary Tareq al Nabulsi.

The AL is willing to cooperate with the Arab Organization of Persons with Disabilities (AOPD), as well as regional and international bodies concerned, to implement recommendations of this forum, which will wrap up work Monday, Nabulsi added.
