Veteran Egyptian banking executive Nevine Kashmiry has announced her departure from The United Bank, bringing to a close a distinguished career at the lender as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. She is now embarking on a new professional chapter by joining Ghabbour Group as an independent board member.

Kashmiry shared the news in a post on LinkedIn, describing the move as the beginning of an exciting new journey after many rewarding years in the banking industry. She also expressed her appreciation for the farewell celebration organized by The United Bank’s Board of Directors to mark the conclusion of her tenure.

Her new role will see her serving on the board of the group’s non-banking financial services businesses, where she aims to contribute to the company’s future growth strategy, strengthen governance, and support its ongoing development initiatives.

Kashmiry is widely recognized as one of Egypt’s leading banking executives, with decades of experience across the country’s financial sector. Throughout her career, she has held several senior leadership positions, most recently serving as Deputy CEO and Managing Director for Business Sectors at The United Bank.

Her appointment reflects the growing trend of experienced banking leaders moving into broader corporate governance and non-banking financial services roles, where their expertise can help drive strategic expansion and sustainable growth.
