According to the US Department of State, Barbara Leaf, the Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, is visiting the Middle East from July 8 to 14.
The purpose of her tour is to continue diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire agreement, release all detainees, and ensure the distribution of humanitarian aid throughout Gaza.
She is set to meet with government officials in the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank during her visit, as reported by Egypt Today.
Additionally, Leaf will discuss establishing lasting peace and security in the region during the post-war period.
