Three Ramadan women Super Stars Who Made a Comeback during Ramadan 2023

Every Ramadan season fans await their favorite stars on screen, yet some of them skip seasons for multiple reasons. This season has witnessed many comebacks that range from a year-break to more. So, here are four female super stars that made comebacks in Ramadan this year!

Donia Samir Ghanem – Gat Saleema:

Actress Donia Samir Ghanem returned to the screen this Ramadan with her new series “Gat Salima”, after an absence of three years since Ramdan  2019.

“Gat Salima” is a comedy.

She made a comeback with a light combination of drama, comedy, fantasy, and romance consisting of 15 episodes, written by Karim Youssef and Sameh Gamal and directed by Islam Khairy and produced by Ahmed al-Sobky .

Ghanem’s last work was “Badal al-Hadota 3”, which was shown in Ramadan 2019. The series co-stars Mohamed Salam, Samy Maghawry, Sherine, Mohammed Tharwat.

Ghanem presented recently her first experience on stage through a play dubbed “Anestoona”, written by Karim Samy and Ahmed Abdel Wahhab, and directed by Khaled Galal.

Ghada Abdel Razek – Telt El Talata:

Actress Ghada Abdel-Razek came back this season with her highly anticipated new series “Telt al-Talata” (Third of Three), through which she played roles of 3 sisters.

Actors participating in the work include Ahmed Magdy and Laila Ahmed Zahir, Mostafa Darwish, Mohamed al-Qess, and Salah Abdullah, and written by Heba al-Husseini.

The first few episodes had a fast pace and confused people on how to judge it, but the whole twins-twist and the plot are what’s keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

The 15-episode series “Telt al-Talata” falls into the category of fiction involving mystery, crime, and suspense.

Yasmine Abdel Aziz and Ahmed El Awady – Darb Nar:

The duo Yasmine Abdel Aziz and Ahmed El Awady didn’t join last year’s season after their massive success from the previous year yet they didn’t miss out on Ramadan 2023’s marathon!

Awadi played the role of Gaber, who comes from Sohag Governorate to Cairo and finds himself caught up in a series of misfortunes. In the midst of all this, he fell in love with Mohra (Yasmine Abdel-Aziz).

“Darb Nar” starred Awadi, Abdel-Aziz, Sohair al-Morshedy, Majid al-Masry, Tamer Magdy, Hoda al-Atribi, Eman al-Sayed, Badria Tolba, Tamer Nabil, Ahmed Abdullah Mahmoud, Tayseer Abdelaziz, and a number of other artists.

In addition, the series was written by Nasser Abdel-Rahman and directed by Mostafa Fekry.

Mona Zaki in “Taht al-Wesaya”

The superstar Mona Zaki came back in Ramadan drama season with the series Under Guardianship “Taht al-Wesaya,” which consists of 15 episodes.

“Taht El wesaya” series starring Mona Zaki in Ramadan 2023, watch her facing gender double standards and challenges as she is working in a male-dominating field.

During the series Zaki played the role of a woman who was forced to live like men in order to work and take care of her family. The breadwinner woman found herself as “worker in the port” to paint ships and fishing boats.

A large number of artists participate in the series including: Diab, Nisreen Amin, Ali Al-Tayyeb, Rushdy al-Shami, Khaled Kamal, Maha Nassar, Mohamed Abdel-Azim, and the series written by Khaled and Sherine Diab, and directed by Mohamed Shaker Khudair.
