The National Council for Women participates in the introductory session for members of Parliament on international labour standards and gender equality
Dr Heba Hagras, a member of the National Council for Women and rapporteur of the Committee on Women with Disabilities, participated in the introductory session organized by the International Labor Organization for members of the House of Representatives on issues of gender equality, persons with disabilities, and international labour standards, as part of the project to advance the Decent Work Program in North Africa (ADWA). , which is implemented by the organization in several countries in North Africa.
Where Dr Heba Hagras delivered a lecture entitled “Gender, Disability and Work Issues, the Way Forward”, in which she emphasized that the Egyptian constitution criminalized discrimination in labour issues on the basis of sex or disability, in Article 53 and guaranteed the right to work for all without discrimination in four articles. They are Articles 11, 12, 17, and 20, and are within the rights of all persons with disabilities in Article 81. At the level of laws, Law No. 10 of 2018 singled out a large part of it for the rights of persons with disabilities at work. The Civil Service Law also includes multiple rights in the work environment for women and girls with disabilities and all Persons with disabilities.
