The presidential initiative “Your Profession is Your Future”, which comes as a part of ” A Decent Life “, is a practical embodiment of the Ministry of Manpower’s vision towards developing the vocational training system, improving its outputs, and linking it to the labor market.
The initiative aims to do so by launching mobile training units in the villages and hamlets of the governorates most in need, to provide free training opportunities for young men and women near their place of residence on professions required by the labor market, in a way that adds a decent addition to the training system in Egypt.
It also seeks to help women establish small projects and to preserve traditional industries and crafts from extinction.
The Ministry attaches great importance to vocational training and the rehabilitation of young people for the labor market, whether at home or abroad, as well as providing them with the skills and technical capabilities that help them get decent job opportunities or contribute to the establishment of small projects that offer them a decent life, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The initiative focuses on evading the trouble of going to fixed training centers and providing training services for young people between the ages of 18 to 45 years within their place of residence, in addition to supporting small and micro projects to create job opportunities in industrial projects for all those enrolled in the training courses.
The mobile unit is being designed by technicians in the Ministry’s technical workshop and under the supervision of specialized engineers, for training in three professions to serve the largest possible number of young people by moving the mobile units from one village to another.
The unit offers many privileges to the trainees, most importantly, undergoing a medical examination before joining the training, getting insurance against injuries, receiving at the beginning of the training a blanket, stationery, sterilization tools, equipment for occupational safety and health, and obtaining the raw materials necessary for practical training according to each profession, in addition to being awarded a certificate of completion of the training course from the Manpower Directorate at the end of the training course.
The Ministry of Manpower indicated that the conditions for joining the training courses offered by the vocational training units are proficiency in reading and writing without any conditions for age or level of education, explaining that all those wishing to join the training courses offered by the mobile units in various governorates must bring a copy of the certificate. Birth certificate, personal card, and personal photos, and go to the unit’s headquarters in the village, the headquarters of the Manpower Directorate in the governorate, or the nearest labor office to register for the course the trainee wishes to join.
