Egypt strongly denounced the intrusion into the yards of Al Aqsa Mosque and the raising of the Israeli flag by two Israeli ministers, members of the Knesset, hundreds of settlers, and extremists.
Not only that, but they were also accompanied by Israeli police, who prevented Palestinian worshippers from entering.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these actions violate international law and Jerusalem’s legal and historical status.
The ministry emphasized that these repeated acts reflect a systematic policy that must be stopped immediately.
Egypt called for the international community to take effective action against such violations, intending to provoke negative sentiments and undermine efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
Egypt further reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating a fair, comprehensive, and permanent resolution of the Palestinian issue, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders.
