The Ministry of Social Solidarity, headed by Minister Nevine El Kabbaj, announced the provision of projects for women’s development, which benefit women and girls to improve their social and economic conditions with financial support, training, and guidance through training in productive activities and skills that generate income that helps raise the economic level of women in particular and the family in general, in addition to providing small economic projects with high economic return in various fields of production that suit the conditions of rural communities until expansion into urban slum areas.
Moreover, Women’s development projects also spread awareness about various issues that society in general and rural society, in particular, suffer from, with special focus on emerging issues imposed by societal conditions.
According to the statement on its official website, the Ministry has set several terms and conditions for obtaining women’s development projects; the conditions include:
– The woman or girl must be a resident of the area in which the project is implemented or in the surrounding areas, and applications must be submitted to the social unit.
– She must not be less than 18 years old and not more than 50 years old.
– She must be literate or enrolled in a literacy class.
– She must provide a guarantee that will be accepted by the project decision-making committees.
– She must have a suitable place that meets the basic conditions for establishing the project.
