She Arts Orchestra (Heya El Funoun) will present a concert on Tuesday, March 7, at 8:00 pm, at the Cultural Liberation Center at the American University, in appreciation of the efforts of Egyptian women and their great contributions to society, on the occasion of the celebrations of International Women’s Day, which celebrated annually on March 8.

International harpist Manal Mohieldin, Italian Soprano Ginfra Rits, and renowned conductor Isabella Ambrosini will accompany the orchestra.

During the ceremony, Harpist Manal Mohieldin will play the most famous international and Arabic compositions for the instrument. On the other hand, Italian Soprano Jennifer Rits will build up the tunes to a selection of the most famous operas, including Carmen, Mozart, and others.

Through her playing, Manal Mohieldin successfully drew the audience’s attention and built a large fan base in the Arab world. She also represented Egypt in many festivals, most notably the opening of the new Egyptian pavilion at the Louvre Museum in Paris in 1997.

For her part, Nevine Kenawy, Founder of She Arts Orchestra, underlined the importance of the orchestra’s continuity in presenting various performances while preserving international cooperation and cultural exchange in the future, in addition to highlighting female professional Egyptian and foreign musicians in general, to inspire others and establish a large fan base.
