PM Praises Egypt’s Partnership with WB Group

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has hailed in a meeting the strategic partnership relation between Egypt and the World Bank Group (WBG), whose role is crucial in providing jobs, human resources development, and enhancing resilience in the face of crises.

Egypt’s cooperation portfolio with the WB has reached nearly $7 B in various development areas, Madbouli stated during a meeting held to follow up on cooperation files with the WBG, in the presence of CBE Governor Hassan Abdallah, International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat and Finance Minister Mohamed Maait.

He also applauded Egypt’s approval of the State Ownership Policy Document.

The WB’s representatives reviewed the latest developments of the cooperation program between the WBG and Egypt in various spheres, including the social protection program.

Attending the meeting was WB’s regional director, Nader Mohamed, WB’s country director, Marina Wes, Deputy Governor of CBE, Rami Aboul Naga, and CBE’s Deputy Assistant Governor, Zakeya Ibrahim.
