Tarek Kamel, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt and Sudan, stated that Nestlé is set to add four production lines to its factories in Egypt by the end of 2023.
Kamel said three lines will be dedicated to food products, and the fourth will be responsible for dairy production. He also said the first food production line will operate in December.
Kamel added that Nestlé now has three factories in Egypt, two in the Sixth of October City and one in Banha City. These factories incorporate 65 production lines in 10 segments.
The company is gradually sourcing raw materials to reduce imports, he added, highlighting that the company has succeeded in completely localizing 16 inputs.
Nestlé is now exporting its products to 22 countries in the MENA, Africa, Europe, South America, and North America, with a target of doubling its exports in 2024.
