NCW Receive Delegation of Uzbekistan to Exchange Expertise in Women’s Empowerment

The NCW received a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Barbiboyeva Ozoda, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee in Uzbekistan, and Dostamtov Nader, Head of the Office of the Cabinet Secretariat in Uzbekistan, to exchange expertise and experiences between the two countries in the field of women’s empowerment and discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides in this context.

The meeting was in the presence of Dr. Naglaa Al-Adly, Director General of the General Department of International Agreements and International Cooperation in the Council; Eng. Jihan Tawfiq, Head of the Central Administration for Affairs of the Council Presidency Office; Ms. Safaa Habib, Head of the Central Department of Information and Protocol; Professor Anji Al-Yamani, National Coordinator of the Financial Inclusion Project in the Council; and Ambassador Wafaa Basim, member of the Council’s Foreign Relations Committee.

The delegation made an inspection tour of the Women’s Complaints Office to learn about its work mechanism, and a course in supporting women legally and providing family counseling and psychological support.
