The National Council for Women, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, conducted a workshop for members of the Ministry of Endowments, Higher Education, and Scientific Research’s Equal Opportunity Units.
Shaimaa Naeem, Director General of the General Administration of Strategy at the Council, and Mohamed El-Sobky, Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Head of the Programs and Performance Unit at the Ministry, attended the meeting.
Shaimaa Naeem opened the workshop, emphasizing the crucial aim of enhancing the capabilities of the Ministry’s Equal Opportunities Units. This, she explained, is a key step in achieving the indicators of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030 and implementing the Ministry’s interventions since its launch.
Mohamed El-Sobky reviewed the steps for preparing the proposed budget according to the program and performance matrix that considers gender equality, equal opportunities, women’s empowerment, and practical application to achieve the objectives of the ministry’s plan.
