NCW Organizes Training Program on Financial Education

The National Council for Women organized a training program on “financial education” in partnership with the Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program, USAID, and Pathfinder International.

The activities of the program included many topics, including clarifying the concept of financial awareness, the importance of setting goals and their types, the concept of saving and budgeting, and identifying financial planning tools, in addition to clarifying insurance and its types, and its role in reducing risks, methods of payment and money transfer, types of financial risks and how to avoid them.

The training also included a lecture on communication skills and effective communication for the work team.

This program comes within the framework of the national project for the development of the Egyptian family and the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, and within the digital savings and loan groups project implemented by the council within the financial inclusion program.

Engy Al-Yamani, National Director of the Financial Inclusion Program at the Council, said in a statement today that the program targeted the savings and loan group work team in Al-Beheira governorate, stressing the importance of periodic financial education training for the project team.

She pointed out that this training contributes greatly to the weight of their skills and knowledge and enables them to transfer their experiences accurately to the women of the villages of the targeted governorates, which contributes to spreading financial awareness in a correct way to women to enable them to manage their money skillfully.

For her part, Dina Kafafi, Director of the Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program, said that the partnership with the National Council for Women in the field of education, financial inclusion, and women’s economic empowerment comes as an important step to the program’s partnership with the Council in the field of social empowerment through the interventions and activities of the program.
