NCW organizes a round table with a group of experts in the field of design and handicrafts
Within the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project implemented by the National Council for Women (NCW) in partnership with the European Union (EU), a round table was organized with a group of experts in the field of design, handicrafts, as well as business leaders in these fields, with the goal of identifying best practices to come up with comprehensive vocational training, and expanding the scope of work and replicating successful experiences.
The meeting discussed several points, including methods of selecting the trainees and defining the topics that these training programs will address, as well as the importance of focusing on life skills, enhancing self-confidence and working in groups, in addition to how to link the women trainees with marketing channels and designers in order to sustainably integrate women in these fields.
