National Council for Women Organizes Training Program for Volunteer Lawyers in Multiple Governorates

The National Council for Women conducted a training course for members of the volunteer lawyers’ network of the Women’s Complaints and Follow-up Office. The course aimed to enhance the coordination between the two entities at the council’s branches across different governorates in the country.

The training targeted nearly 200 lawyers and volunteer lawyers. The course, which spanned two days, included the presence and participation of prominent figures such as Amal Abdel-Moniem, the Director of the Office, Dr. Osama al-Hadidi, Director General of the Electronic Fatwa Department, Dr. Mona Ali Ahmed Mustafa Zine, Clinical Psychology Teacher at the Psychology Department of the British University, and Dr. Wafaa Abdul Latif, a psychologist and educator.

Amal Abdel-Moneim publicized the terms of reference of the Office, its working mechanisms and ways of providing psychological and legal support to complainants, and the mechanism for coordinating the work between the Office and members and members of the network of volunteer lawyers in the governorates of the Republic.

The training covered various topics, including negotiation and mediation techniques, raising awareness about cybercrime and its severity, addressing issues related to violence against women, applying mental health skills, and facilitating an open panel discussion between volunteer lawyers and the Office’s follow-up unit working group to explore mechanisms and organizational approaches.
