Leila El Baradei Granted 2024 International Public Administration Award

Dr. Laila El Baradei, a Professor of Public Administration at the American University in Cairo, has recently received the International Public Administration Award (ASPA) from the American Society for the Administration of Public Affairs.

The National Council for Women, led by Dr. Maya Morsi, extended its sincere congratulations to the professor for achieving such a milestone.

On her part, Dr. Morsi expressed her great happiness and pride in Dr. Laila El Baradei’s well-deserved victory and being the first Arab and Egyptian woman to win this award in recognition of her efforts during her distinguished career at the university. Dr. El Baradei is also recognized for her support of youth in the university’s public policy forum.

Notably, Dr. Leila has held several key positions at the American University, including the position of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Affairs and Public Policy from 2013 to 2014 and previously the associate dean of the college.

Moreover, she held the position of associate dean for research and graduate studies at the American University until 2018 and director of the MBA program at the American University.

Besides her academic achievements, Dr. El Baradei previously served as a member of the US-Egypt Business Leaders Forum and a member of the Phi Alpha Alpha Honor Society, the Global Society for Public Affairs & Administration at George Washington University. She has made significant research contributions and has a large number of published research in the field of administration and public policy.
