The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in Egypt celebrated its 10th anniversary with a week-long extravaganza titled “K-Movement.” The event, which ran from May 18th to 24th, offered a vibrant exploration of South Korea’s rich cultural tapestry.
The impressive opening ceremony showcased the best of modern and traditional Korean art forms, allowing Egyptian audiences to experience the depth and diversity of Korean culture. The week-long celebration featured a wide array of performances, exhibitions, and workshops.
The Korean Ambassador to Egypt, Kim Yonghyon, remarked this day, highlighting the significance in promoting both modern and traditional Korean culture and art among Egyptian audiences.
The week-long program, held from May 18th to 24th, promises a captivating immersion into the heart of Korean creativity. Audiences can expect a diverse showcase of the country’s best dance, music, and artistic expressions.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of Minister of Culture Neveen El-Kilani, Amb. Omar Selim, Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Affairs, Amb. Ahmed Shaheen, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, and a host of other dignitaries, including representatives from Japan, Australia, and Lithuania, were all present alongside Amb. Yonghyon and Director of the Cairo Opera House, Lamiaa Zayed.
