Ismailia’s “Your Right to Plan” Campaign Empowers 4,000+ Women in Health Milestone

Ismailia Governorate has reached a major milestone in public health with the successful conclusion of its “Your Right to Plan” (Hakki Tounazzami) campaign. Over a high-impact two-week period, the initiative provided free reproductive health and family planning services to 4,082 women, reinforcing the state’s commitment to maternal and child welfare.

Dr. Reem Mostafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Ismailia, highlighted that the campaign was a strategic move to improve population characteristics and foster sustainable growth. By deploying both fixed clinics and highly accessible mobile units, the health directorate ensured that professional medical advice and family planning tools reached women in even the most remote areas of the governorate.

The campaign’s success went beyond clinical exams. A core component featured educational seminars designed to debunk common misconceptions about maternal health. Experts emphasized the critical importance of birth spacing—not only as a medical recommendation but as a foundational step toward a healthier, more prosperous family life.

The final data underscores the campaign’s massive reach: 3,690 women obtained family planning methods, while over 500 underwent specialized obstetric and gynecological examinations. Additionally, the campaign provided ultrasounds, prenatal follow-ups, and individual health counseling. By integrating clinical excellence with community education, Ismailia is setting a new standard for empowering women to take full control of their reproductive journeys.
