Health officials in Aswan are continuing their investigation into a mysterious illness that has affected several residents in recent weeks. While initial tests have ruled out a bacterial cause, the search for the underlying factors remains ongoing.

The Ministry of Health and Population has dispatched a team of experts to Aswan to investigate the cases of fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea reported by local citizens. In an interview with Extra News, Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar stated that there has been an improvement in the condition of patients suffering from digestive system symptoms, thanks to the ministry’s efforts.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has directed all relevant agencies to identify the cause of the illness and provide appropriate medical care to affected individuals. The Aswan Governor, Ismail Kamal, is leading the local response to the outbreak.

As the investigation continues, the Health Minister has urged citizens to take preventative measures to protect themselves from digestive system ailments. These measures include washing hands before and after eating, cooking food thoroughly, washing fruits and vegetables, avoiding food from street vendors, and obtaining food only from reliable sources.

While the initial tests have not revealed a bacterial link, health officials are exploring other potential causes. The central team is working diligently to uncover the factors contributing to the spread of these symptoms in Aswan.
