The Faculty of Physical Education for Helwan University girls organized (Sports and Women’s Day) as part of the activities of the 2021/2022 graduation ceremony under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, and Dr. Amal Abdullah, Dean of the College, to highlight and support the role of leading women and provide job opportunities for female graduates to be able to communicate with the external community and the labor market.
The ceremony began with a show presented by students of the Department of Motor Expression. The show was designed by Dr. Ola Tawfiq and Dr. Shaima Abdullah.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Manal Jamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Shaima Naim, Director General of the Strategic Department and responsible for combating violence in universities and a member of the NCW, Dr. Yahya Hassan Qassem, Vice President of the Arab Sports for All Federation, and the journalist, Captain Nour Khattab.
Dr. Shaimaa Naim added that the National Council for Women launched a strategy to empower women within the framework of achieving goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s vision 2030, wishing for continued cooperation between the Council and universities.
This cooperation began by establishing units to combat violence against women in universities to be a supportive tool for girls and women within the university community.
At the end of the ceremony, the university president presented memorial shields to the college’s dean and guests. They commemorated the event with photos in an atmosphere of joy during the students’ graduation ceremony.
