According to Egypt Today, The Media Center of Egypt’s Cabinet denied what was circulated on some media outlets and social media pages regarding the government’s intention to sell the state-owned flag carrier EgyptAir.
“EgyptAir emphasized that it is a national company that will remain state-owned and cannot be abandoned in any way because it is one of the state’s main arms in the aviation transport system,” the center said in a statement.
The company said that it has a development plan aimed at modernizing its fleet of aircraft, expanding its network of routes, and increasing the number of its flights.
