Environment Minister Stresses Egypt’s Keenness to Boosting Investment through New Government’s Program

Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, as reported by the Egyptian Gazette, spoke about her ministry’s focus on enhancing investment opportunities within the new government’s program.

The program emphasizes empowering the private sector and involving civil society in environmental initiatives. Additionally, it aims to facilitate active participation and discussion on environmental issues.

The minister also highlighted plans to increase awareness and provide training programs for students at schools and universities.

She emphasized the importance of involving Members of Parliament in implementing the program through idea exchange and collaboration. These statements were made during a meeting on Monday with members of the Senate’s Energy, Environment, and Manpower Committee to discuss collaborative efforts on various environmental issues at the Environment Ministry’s headquarters in the government district in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

Fouad further thanked the committee members for their cooperation and communication on environmental matters. Lawmakers acknowledged the local and international achievements in addressing significant environmental concerns, such as climate change and waste management.

In conclusion, Fouad stressed the Egyptian government’s strong commitment to prioritizing environmental issues and making considerable efforts to protect the environment despite numerous challenges.
