Elon Musk Announces Death of Twitter’s Blue Bird Logo, Birth of “X”

by Nada Khaled

On Sunday, Twitter’s current owner, Elon Musk, announced that the app will be changing its name and image on the official account from the well-known blue bird and replacing it with the letter “X”.

Naturally, the news sparked a lot of controversy from app users all over social media.

Musk said he was looking forward to changing the Twitter logo and tweeted: Soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand, and gradually all birds.

The American billionaire Elon even went a step further by putting the new logo on the image of his official account.

Back in April, the billionaire briefly changed the Twitter logo for the first time from the bird to the dog (Shiba Inu), used as a slogan for the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, which led to a rapid rise in the value of the currency price in the market.

And since his acquisition of Twitter at the end of last October for $ 44 bln, Musk has repeatedly confirmed that he plans to make Twitter a comprehensive platform similar to the Chinese WeChat service, and earlier this year changed the name of Twitter’s business to X Corp.
