The Women in Energy Network, a part of the Egypt Oil and Gas (EOG) Committee, recently hosted a powerful mentoring event under the theme “Potential Leaders: Taking the Ownership of Leadership.” The event, held at Petrojet Company, aimed to inspire and support women in the energy sector and equip them with the tools to succeed in their careers.
The event was opened by Eleanor Rowley, Managing Director of Capricorn Energy, who highlighted the network’s mission to create a vibrant community for women in energy. She emphasized the importance of mentoring and support in helping women at all stages of their careers reach their goals.
Dalia El Gabry, Vice President and Country Chair of Shell Egypt, delivered a keynote speech urging women to take the lead in their professional lives. She stressed the importance of self-confidence and encouraged attendees to seize the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors.
The event featured 11 mentoring sessions covering a variety of topics, including diverse teams, career paths, unconscious bias, self-awareness, and life planning. Distinguished mentors from leading companies in the energy sector shared their insights and experiences with the attendees.
