Egypt’s PM Announces July 20, 23 Official Holidays Celebrating New Hijri Year, July 23 Revolution

Yesterday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued a decision regarding Thursday, July 20, which he declared an official holiday for civil servants and the private and public business sectors, marking the occasion of the first day of the Hijri New Year.

The diplomat further issued another decision for Sunday, July 23, to also be an official holiday in celebration of the July 23 Revolution anniversary.

Both decisions were met with great joy from the public as it meant a long weekend.
