Egypt’s National Library Publishes Book Presenting Egyptian Women’s Role in Battling National Struggle Through the Years

The Egyptian National Library and Archives, under the leadership of Dr. Osama Talaat, recently unveiled a significant addition to its collection: the book “Al Mar’a Al Masreyya Wal Nedal Al Seyasy,” which translates to “Egyptian Women and the National Struggle” (1919-2022).

This publication is a testament to the pivotal role of Egyptian women in the country’s history. The book is a distinguished addition to the Center for Contemporary Egyptian History publications at the National Library.

It features an insightful introduction by Dr. Ahmed Zakaria Al-Shalq, which is further refined by the esteemed Dr. Ilham Zahni and Dr. Saleh Muhammad Omar.

The book also includes several historical studies on Egyptian women and their role in the national struggle, including Women and the Political Organizations of the July 23 Revolution, Women in Suez, Examples of Egyptian Women’s Struggle against the Tripartite Aggression, The Parliamentary Struggle of Egyptian Women, Women’s Political Rights in Egyptian Constitutions, and other important studies.

On the other hand, the National Library and Archives, headed by Dr. Osama Talaat, previously announced the reception of research summaries for the Children’s Literature Conference in its ninth session, scheduled for November 20 and 21, 2024.

Regarding participation procedures, research summaries, working papers, CVs, and a copy of the national ID card or passport for those wishing to participate from faculty members, experts, and writers will be received via the conference’s email by September 15, 2024.

According to their direct connection to one of the conference’s themes, the works accepted for participation must be in their final form before October 30, 2024, in one of the following axes:

1- Opportunities and challenges of using artificial intelligence in children’s literature.

2- Threats of using artificial intelligence in children’s literature and its implications for the publishing market.

3- Risks of using artificial intelligence in children’s literature (protection methods and awareness tools).

4- Employing artificial intelligence to create meaningful literary content for children.

5- Children’s participation in creating children’s literature content using artificial intelligence.
