Dr. Jihan Al-Husseini, of Egyptian roots, recently made history by becoming the first Egyptian to assume the position of Public Prosecutor in the United Kingdom.
Upon her appointment, Counselor Jihan Al-Husseini received the sincere congratulations of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad in the UK and Egypt’s Minister of Immigration, Ambassador Soha Gendi, for assuming this high-level position.
On her part, the head of the Union’s UK section, Ms. Mervat Khalil, expressed her pride over the accomplishment, noting that pursuing a legal education and entering the judiciary is among the most challenging and meticulous of professions. It requires immense dedication, time, and perseverance.
Dr. Al-Husseini’s journey to this prestigious position was further explained by Khalila, highlighting that the newly appointed prosecutor holds many credentials, including a Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations, a Master’s in International Law, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
Khalil went on to underline that Al-Husseini concentrated her efforts on joining the Board of Counselors, which demonstrated her dedication to greatness. Dr. Al-Husseini successfully passed each of her tests, despite the difficulties of these exams.
She further stressed that Dr. Al-Husseini’s appointment is the fruitful outcome of her constant dedication, skill, perseverance, reputation, and expertise.
It should be noted that the Egyptian community in the UK is extremely proud of this prestigious accomplishment and regards Dr. Al-Husseini as a deserving role model.
