Egyptian Environment Min Attends 6th UNEA in Nairobi

Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad headed for Nairobi on Wednesday 28/2/2024 to attend the 6th round of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) held under the rubric “effective, comprehensive and sustainable multi-party measures to handle climate change, loss of biological diversity and pollution”.

Representatives of the governments, civil community, and the private sector take part in the event which is chaired by Morocco.

The event will focus on how the multi-party element can help in handling the three-way planet crisis which includes climate change, loss of biological diversity, pollution, and waste.

On the sidelines of the event, Fouad will hold several bilateral meetings with her counterparts from Hungary, Sweden, and Germany to discuss bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
