Under the guidance of Mohamed Gebran, the Federation’s President, the Workers’ Union of Qalyubia conducted its first organizational meeting in the Secretariat for Women and Children of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Egypt.
The meeting reviewed the secretariat plan for women and children in the upcoming period and discussed several proposals to assist Egyptian women across all governorates via different women’s secretariats in all trade unions and local federations in the governorates, according to the statement released on Wednesday.
Aida Muhyiddin emphasized that a number of significant roles in promoting awareness and providing support for Egyptian working women will become operational in the near future through projects that will be unveiled and implemented.
Muhyiddin expressed gratitude to women for their proactive participation in constitutional rights, their endorsement of political leadership, and their backing of all state institutions.
Abdelrahman Abdelghani, President of the Qalyubiya Workers’ Union, praised the role of the Secretariat for Women and Children during their participation in the presidential elections and the supervised performance of the role of working women in all governorates of the Republic.
Abbas Saber, Secretary-General of the Local Union of Qalyubiya Workers, stressed the development of an action plan for the women’s secretariat within the Union of Qalyubiya Workers, which will be implemented and its community role activated within the governorate.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Aida Muhyiddin, Chief Secretary of the Secretariat for Women and Children, thanked the leaders of Qalyubia’s workers and handed them commemorative shields in recognition of their efforts to support and confront problems related to work and workers.
